The MAP Doctoral Program in Computer Science consists of a first curricular year starting in the fall and divided into two semesters. The first semester features four courses chosen in the foundations of the area of computing, programming paradigms and information technologies and a seminar on research methodologies which includes working visits to MAP associated research centers and laboratories. Programa Doutoral em Gestão e Tratamento de Resíduos
O programa doutoral em Gestão e Tratamento de Resíduos (PDGTR) é constituído por uma parte curricular e pela elaboração de uma tese, perfazendo um total de 180 ECTS, dos quais 110 são relativos à dissertação e 70 a unidades curriculares.
É um projeto de ensino inter-centros de investigação da Escola de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho (EEUM), envolvendo os Centros de Engenharia do Território, Ambiente e Construção (C-TAC), de Tecnologias Mecânicas e Materias (CT2M), Instituto de Polímeros e Compósitos (IPC) e de Engenharia Biológica (CEB). O objectivo do PDGTR é proporcionar uma formação especializada que desenvolva nos estudantes a capacidade de contribuir para o avanço dos processos e tecnologias de tratamento e valorização de resíduos através da investigação criativa e autónoma. The goal of the Doctoral Programme in Materials Engineering is to train experts and researchers in the area of Materials Engineering, which are highly qualified and able to perform autonomous research, development, and innovation work in the academic or industrial environment.
The programme is organized according to the following principles:
To complete the training of master and 1st cycle degree holders in the areas of Sciences and Engineering, granting advanced training in emergent areas of Materials Engineering, namely regarding innovation and development of materials/products, technologies, and processes for new applications.
To develop research methodology and experimentation skills which allow the autonomous development (either individually or within a research team) of research and development (R&D) activities covering all aspects of the R6D process: revision of the state-of-the-art, project planning, selection and application of research methods and procedures, writing R&D results reports, etc.
